Tasting Notes: Domaine Lois Louise "Cote Sud" 2009, Love it Now, Cellar it for the Future!
The third vintage from our Domaine Lois Louise is Cote Sud – another dark and concentrated wine that owes its complexity to the harsh conditions and low yield of vines above the fog line.
Its high-toned aromatics include plum, rose petal and spicy oak with notes of raspberry and cassis. Tasters at our 2009 Release Party in early April found it powerful, firmly structured yet quite expansive on the palate. Enjoyable now, Cote Sud has years of development ahead.
Cowgirl Creamery’s St. Pat is a special seasonal cheese made from Jersey cow’s milk. Enjoyed between sips of Cote Sud, the creamy cheese packs an extra punch thanks to its nettle-wrapped rind, and the resulting earthy, smoky palette stands up to the complexity of the wine.
